Dyke enlargment
With the water rising, we Dutch people need to make sure our Dikes are up to the task of keeping our lower lands dry. Since about half or The Netherlands lives below sea level, we are anxious to keep an eye out to our dikes. Since the heavy flooding in the mid fifties we managed to build a large artificial and flexible water protection system. This image shows the enlargement of the Ijssel-lake Dikes.
